Let’s talk about jewelry care. If you're anything like me, you have those go-to pieces you wear all the time: the necklace that keeps you grounded, the bracelet that feels like your daily reminder to breathe. These pieces mean something. And taking care of them? That’s part of keeping their energy alive.

Whether it’s your favorite affirmation necklace or the stack of bracelets you never take off, giving them a little TLC helps them stay just as powerful as the day you got them.

Why Jewelry Care Matters

Jewelry isn’t just something pretty. It’s a vibe, a feeling, a reflection of what you’re carrying inside. When you take care of the things that hold meaning, it’s a form of self-respect. It’s you saying, “This matters to me.”

A simple wipe-down after a long day or mindfully tucking it into a pouch before bed isn’t just about avoiding scratches, it’s a ritual. A reset. A quiet moment of care for yourself, too.

How I Clean My Jewelry (No Fancy Stuff Needed)

Cleaning your jewelry doesn’t need to be complicated. Here’s what we recommend:

Soft cloth always: I use a microfiber or jewelry cloth to gently wipe things down after wearing them, especially in the summer when things get a little sweaty.

Skip the soak for stretch cord: If you’ve got one of the beaded bracelets, just wipe it down. Soaking can wear out elastic over time.

It’s quick. It’s easy. And it keeps your pieces shining without stripping away the energy they’ve absorbed from all the moments they’ve shared with you.

How to Prevent Jewelry Tarnish

Let’s keep it real, preventing jewelry tarnish takes just a little intention. You’ve already put love into choosing your pieces, so a few simple habits will go a long way:

Jewelry goes on last, comes off first: That way, you avoid lotions, perfumes, or sprays getting on them.

Store them with care: I keep mine in little pouches or zip bags, or tucked into a fabric-lined box. We include a cloth pouch with each piece which is a great way to store your pieces when you aren't wearing them.

Avoid humidity and sweat: I take mine off before working out, showering, or heading into the sauna-like heat of a summer car. This includes keeping your jewelry off while showering, bathing or swimming.

Let them rest at night: I know it’s tempting to sleep in your jewelry, but giving it a break helps it (and you) recharge.

Wearing Jewelry With Intention

When I choose what jewelry to wear for the day, I treat it like a ritual. I pause. I breathe. I check in with myself: What do I need today? Courage? Calm? A little grounding?

That “Fearless” necklace becomes more than an accessory—it becomes a reminder. That “Remember Who You Are” bracelet? It hits different on the days when I feel anything but steady.

When you put your pieces on with intention, they show up for you. They hold energy, memories, and meaning. They become part of your story.

Keep the Magic Alive

I know life is full. But taking a few minutes to care for your jewelry is like caring for a piece of your own journey. These pieces are more than beautiful—they’re personal. They’ve seen you through highs, lows, breakthroughs, and quiet moments of clarity.

So give them a little love. Wipe them down. Store them with intention. Choose them with presence. And wear them like you fucking mean it.
