Katia Designs is designed to last for many years to come but all jewelry will naturally tarnish and look dull if you do not take adequate care of your pieces. The majority of the pieces are crafted in brass and plated to create the silver or gold finish. Exposure to the elements will eat away at the finish resulting in a more aged look. Here are a few steps to keep your pieces looking like the day you received them! All of our pieces are proudly nickel-free.
GENERAL CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Storage: When taking off your jewelry at night, we are all tempted to leave our pieces where we won't forget to put them back on which is usually in our bathrooms. Bathrooms are the most humid area in our homes so to keep your pieces looking like new, store them in a dry place like a closet. We include a cloth pouch with each piece which is a great way to store your pieces when you aren't wearing them.
Keep it dry! We all love a good sweat sesh - but our jewelry does not! Sweat also breaks down the finishing coat quicker so if you are heading to that spin or hot yoga class, make sure to take off your Katia Design pieces before you do! Keeping your pieces dry also means keeping them out of water. We do not recommend showering, bathing or swimming in our pieces.
We do our very best to list items fully and accurately and would only send items that we would be happy to receive.
Katia loves to embrace all of the imperfections that occur when working with organic materials. Due to the crystals and crystal beads being an organic material, shape, clarity, and color vary and may have pits, cracks, and other marks that Mother Nature provided to add interest and beauty.
Because the majority of our pieces are hand assembled at the time of order, please allow up to 10 business days processing time in addition to whatever shipping method you choose at checkout.

We do not offer customization of any of our pieces with the exception of our Design Your Own items where you are able to choose from a designated selection of pendants, beads and stones.

I bought 2 of these for my twin sister and I for our birthday’s in February. The meaning and the ease of being able to put it on were part of the reasons I liked them. To see them up close and personal made me love them even more!! I love Katia’s jewelry and have several pieces. I cannot wait to give it to my sister next week.
