Katia Designs is designed to last for many years to come but all jewelry will naturally tarnish and look dull if you do not take adequate care of your pieces. The majority of the pieces are crafted in brass and plated to create the silver or gold finish. Exposure to the elements will eat away at the finish resulting in a more aged look. Here are a few steps to keep your pieces looking like the day you received them! All of our pieces are proudly nickel-free.
GENERAL CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Storage: When taking off your jewelry at night, we are all tempted to leave our pieces where we won't forget to put them back on which is usually in our bathrooms. Bathrooms are the most humid area in our homes so to keep your pieces looking like new, store them in a dry place like a closet. We include a cloth pouch with each piece which is a great way to store your pieces when you aren't wearing them.
Keep it dry! We all love a good sweat sesh - but our jewelry does not! Sweat also breaks down the finishing coat quicker so if you are heading to that spin or hot yoga class, make sure to take off your Katia Design pieces before you do! Keeping your pieces dry also means keeping them out of water. We do not recommend showering, bathing or swimming in our pieces.
We do our very best to list items fully and accurately and would only send items that we would be happy to receive.
Katia loves to embrace all of the imperfections that occur when working with organic materials. Due to the crystals and crystal beads being an organic material, shape, clarity, and color vary and may have pits, cracks, and other marks that Mother Nature provided to add interest and beauty.
Because the majority of our pieces are hand assembled at the time of order, please allow 5-7 business days processing time in addition to whatever shipping method you choose at checkout.

During the Christmas sale I picked up a boho crystal wrap for my bff and this lightning bolt necklace for myself. It’s been a rough road, and little did I know about a month after this pic my road got a little rougher with finding out my stage 3 triple neg breast cancer advanced to stage 4 due to medical negligence 😩 But I am determined to keep loving myself and keep going to heal and to love those that have been there for me thru this even on my harder days! I’ve been told I have an electric and fun personality that radiates love so it’s also for that. I really love the meaning that can be put behind these pieces for yourself or as a gift. I got my mom some pieces for Mother’s Day and so so excited to gift them to her!

I ordered the lightning bolt necklace in silver. It arrived in gold. I contacted the help center and was given a return label and a silver one was sent out ASAP. So I was very impressed with their customer service. In addition, the necklace itself is made of sturdy material and I love that I can alter the positioning to go with whatever top I am wearing. Very versatile. I will be ordering more.

I bought this for myself because, why not? I’m on a rough journey with my health. I have many Katia pieces, but can you EVER have enough? (Rhetorical question). I haven’t worn it yet, but I’m excited & hopeful to get to that point in my (very long) journey when I’m able to be out in the world again and wear all my pieces.
